Who are the members of the GCCA?

The GCCA is comprised of childcare center directors, staff members, family care providers, students, and other early childhood professionals. Greenville County First Steps, Lifelong Learning/Greenville County Schools and the United Way Child Care Resource and Referral agency work with GCCA to promote community and statewide efforts to enhance the welfare of all children.

Can I attend GCCA board meetings?

Yes! The board meets monthly and all members are invited to attend and provide input. All GCCA board members provide their time, advice and energy free of charge, and all positions are voluntary. Members will receive monthly emails letting them know when and where the board meetings will be held. GCCA is currently developing other tools and programs that will be of great benefit to its members as we work together to provide the very best for the children and families we serve.

What benefits do I have as a GCCA member?

GCCA members have the opportunity to attend two Saturday training's that offer a total of ten hours of DSS approved training. Members also can attend the March conference at a discounted price. Director's and Assistant Directors can attend one Director's Forum for 5 hours of training and four Share & Care meetings with their membership.

What is the cost of membership?

The cost of teacher membership is $20 and the cost for director/assistant director membership is $35. The cost for Agency members is $25. The individual membership is renewed yearly, at the beginning of August. We are no longer taking online payments. Payments (cash or check) can be paid at the first training you attend or mailed to:
